Over the years I've been fascinated with creating/inventing things. I've submitted ~three patents to the patent office over the last 15 years or so, for all types of things, snooker, umbrellas, and software.
Unfortunately none of these were granted, however, each time I write one, I get better.
I'm currently working on my fourth patent document. I was struggling with referencing items in the document, whilst some text-editing software works, I really needed it to be more customisable. A month or so ago, I found that references can be customised in latex, which of course led me down another rabbit hole. Last year it was Vim, now Latex, it's funny how old technology really is very useful.
